Challenge
Robert Hapanowicz founded Cutter & Cook to solve a personal challenge - providing the taste and nourishment of home for his son Jacob while he attended a military prep school. Faced with mess hall meals that fell short of Jacob’s cravings and minimal options for storage and cooking in the barracks, Robert knew he had to find a solution. Thus, Cutter & Cook Foods was born- a tribute to family, tradition, and the unwavering commitment to quality. Our job is to make sure that the first-of-it's-kind UnBurrito speaks the right language— both verbally and visually— to attract it's ideal customers.
Approach
Our mission with this project was to create a reputation for the UnBurrito before it even existed in the hands of customers. We took a very deep dive into similar competitor products like Kevin's and Bettr Bowl to understand the target customer and their preferences. We needed to create a brand that both appealed to kids and their parents— something that would jump out of the cooler and say "I'm the best option!" As the UnBurrito was being fine-tuned in the kitchen by it's Founder, we created what would be known as the reputation and brand of this new product.
Outcome
From packaging, to positioning, to a fresh e-commerce website that's ready to start selling— we took UnBurrito from an idea to a reality.
