CHALLENGE
Anevay had a solid book of business, a long track record of great work, and a rolodex full of revenue-producing relationships. While they were known and respected by other oil & gas professionals, they wanted more. The days of simply middle-manning deals was over for Anevay— they were ready to open up investment opportunities to individuals. We needed to take an already-known and respected company and give it a breath of fresh air. Anevay needed to come across less stuffy, corporate, bland— it needed to be more relative to the everyday investor.
How do we turn Anevay Resources into a brand that individual investors feel compelled to invest with?
This is where our strategy meetings began.
APPROACH
Brand Winners needed to give Anevay a "brand refresh" that allowed it to be seen in a new way, by a new group of people. As we began to create new strategy and positioning for Anevay, we decided that everything would revolve around trust and proof.
We noticed that other companies in the same industry all took the same approach— they pitched their offer relentlessly. This insight showed us where Anevay could fill a gap and gain trust.
Here's the secret sauce—
Other oil & gas companies were using the age-old model- sell an "investment opportunity" through scammy meta ads, then convince customers to trust them and the outcome. We went the opposite direction.
We created a brand strategy that would allow Anevay to talk about it's years of experience and outcomes, creating curiosity and interest among potential customers. Anevay never asked for anything from the potential customer, taking a position of authority and confidence. Naturally, we lowered the "risk factor" for those potential customers through showing and telling Anevay's successes over the years. Without ever pitching an "investment opportunity", old and new relationships began to ask "how can I get a piece of that pie? I've got $100k I need to put into something like this."
This strategy is the magic that generates interest based on trust and proof. This is how brands can attract, rather than chase.
OUTCOME
What began as a high-level brand strategy got funneled into every aspect of Anevay's Business. In order to attract investors in a new way, we needed Anevay Resources to show up in a new, fresh way.
Here's how we brought it all to life in a way that achieved Anevay's new goals:
Went on a deep dive Anevay's team to create a compelling brand story, values that resonated, a mission and vision, and key differentiators from competitors in the market
Defined Anevay's target market and created a full brand strategy to effectively reach them
Defined Anevay's voice and tone in copywriting for use across all touch-points, both internally and externally
Designed Anevay's unique brand position, voice, archetype, and overall "character" that it would be known as
Created an entirely new visual brand, including an adaptive logo set for any usage scenario. This included an iconic logo, wordmark, and multiple lockup options for different use-cases. It also included brand imagery, mockups, and more.
Designed a new website featuring Anevay's new look and feel to appeal to potential investors, complete with lead-gen and funnel capabilities
Updated all internal documents to match Anevay's new brand— business cards, letterhead, outdoor signage, and more
Anevay's next step was to begin marketing and putting this brand into action, driving interested investors to weekly live webinars. Our next step was to create a full funnel that generates attention on social media (YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn) and pushes interested candidates to have further conversations with Anevay about investing. This included a weekly YouTube episode, daily social content, and live in-person events catered to first-time investors.
